Erica Lancaster, M.A., LPC

She/her/hers

Clinical Director

Erica Lancaster (she/her) has worked with young adults and adults in many capacities over the past decade—leading wilderness trips, supporting post-wilderness therapeutic transitions, working in emergency psychiatric services and community mental health.

Erica earned her Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Wilderness Therapy from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. Grounded in mindfulness, she integrates a range of evidence-based and experiential modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic and body-centered trauma therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She uses EMDR as a powerful tool to help clients safely process and release trauma, always integrating it with grounding, mindfulness, and body-based practices. Erica is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher, Reiki Level I practitioner, and a Wilderness First Responder.

She specializes in working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and those seeking deeper self-awareness or a more authentic connection to the natural world. Erica often incorporates nature into her work—whether through metaphor, mindfulness-based practices, or time outdoors—believing that the natural world can act as a co-therapist, offering regulation, clarity, and connection.

Erica’s passion lies in empowering individuals to reconnect with their innate wisdom and resilience through the therapeutic process. She believes deeply in the inherent goodness of all people and their natural capacity for healing and transformation. She tailors each therapeutic experience to align with her clients’ unique needs, honoring the pace and path of their individual journeys.

Erica is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for all clients. She practices from a trauma-informed, equity-focused, and healing-centered lens, welcoming individuals of all identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences.

When she’s not working with clients or supporting her team at FLYY, Erica is most at home outside—whether hiking forest trails with her family and dog, tending to her backyard chickens, or simply soaking in the quiet wisdom of the natural world.
